About the Artist, Anne Herbert

Hello! I’ve created stained glass pieces off and on since 1995. More off then on as I raised my four sons with my wonderful husband and worked full time. Now I  enjoy creating stained glass full-time and look forward to helping you find that perfect piece.

My first experience with stained glass was when a friend introduced me to the craft. Over the years I’ve taken classes in the Tiffany style, lead came construction, designing patterns, lamp creation, plating and other glass topics. Initially I made pieces for family and friends, bridesmaids’ gifts, and then participated in juried art fairs and sold at several local gift shops.

I have bachelor’s degrees in both Computer Science and Music. I also completed a master’s degree in Integrative Studies focusing on Public History and Geography and created a documentary film for my final master’s project. I’m a lifelong learner - constantly reading and learning new things.

But I’ve always loved creating things of beauty with my hands and I am delighted to be creating again. The bright colors and light of stained glass intrigue me and also fill me with a deep appreciation for all that I’ve been given.
